Well at least it was worth it. This series came out over 10 years ago but for some reason just this 2nd title in the series is way more than all the others. But it was an enjoyable read with great characters and a good story line.

I accidently got book 1 not realizing it was a series! Searched for more books by this author, and delightedly discovered it was a series! This is book two. I liked the story twists and turns. Not your everyday story line. Now on to book three!
I hadn't heard of Janet Chapman prior to finding the first Pine Creek book. She is a great writer and her humor comes across in her books. I have found myself laughing out loud at times while reading her stories. Can't wait to start the next book.
When I started getting into this book I found myself getting frustrated with Sadie and Morgan.. they never did what I wanted them to do. But as the story progressed I fell in love with Sadie. I loved that she wasn't this petite, delicate woman with flawless skin and gigantic breasts. I felt that Morgan was quite chauvinistic but in the end he just seemed clueless on how to be with a woman and when I finished this book I missed these two.

Janet Chapman's "Highlander Series" began with "Charming the Highlander" - it was such a great read that I immediately ordered "Loving the Highlander" and "Wedding the Highlander". While the second book might not have been quite as good as the first book - I thoroughly enjoyed it! This series is an interesting mix of romance and sci-fi. I absolutely could not put this book down once I got through the first half. Her characters are interesting and the story moves right along. I have really enjoyed Ms. Chapman's books!
This book keeps you hoping on your toes. Absolutely tilt. Best one

I read charming the highlander, and what I thought was the end was the hottest scene I ever read. So of course I had to read the next book. All the books in the series are $7.99, but loving the highlander was $15.99. I would have paid $100.00 dollars, if I had to. This book took me on a journey that I never wanted to end.
I read each and every book from this series in order and nonstop. OMG...What an amazing experience Granted there were some characters that I loved thoughout the series. One of the things that most impressed me is we really get to see the happily ever after throughout the series.

If you have the money and can afford to buy the whole set, that is the experience that you are shooting for from this author. Chapman is creative funny, and sincere with these characters and you feel the love between main players as well as the family they have around them. After all those books I was still left wanting more.

I passed my set to my sister. She calls me at the end of each one to discuss the new characters, the new dynamic they'll create in future novels in the series.

Truly a fun read. The best read since my first historical romance (Knight in Shining Armor).
